DEVELOPING HEALTHY, LIFELONG LEARNERS
Health education in CNUSD seeks to support the whole child, providing a variety of opportunities to learn about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and making wise choices. In addition to incorporating the California Content Standards for Health (2008), teachers incorporate the California Common Core Literacy Standards (2010), encouraging all students to think critically and explore concepts in health and physical fitness.
A one-semester Health course (5 credits) is required for graduation from CNUSD.
